Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Targeted Case Management Advisory Board

Wright County's Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Targeted Case Management Advisory Board meets three times each year to provide a mechanism for the director of the Wright County Community Services Office to understand the needs within the county and the best way to meet those needs. Thus the Board provides access to people with various backgrounds to provide counsel to establish the not only solutions to issues and problems but the means and methods by which the solutions are reached. The Board is made up of the Director of the Community Services Office, The Wright County Board of Supervisors, various professionals, persons who represent people with disability, persons with disability and community members

Members of the Board form various committees that assist in the development of the Mental health and Developmental Disabilities Three year Strategic Action Plan and Targeted Case Management Quality Assurance Plan. These committees provide input into the development of goals and objectives for the disability system and Targeted Case Management program in Wright County. In addition the Board and its committees review budgets and cost reports and provide information to assist in their development. The Board receives educational nd information in order to make them effective advocates for the mental health system in Iowa at both state and local levels.

This Board usually meets from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pizza Ranch in Clarion Iowa. The Board receives a paid lunch as part of the meeting. If you are interested in Wright County's mental health system and would like to participate on the Board feel free to contact us to receive an invitation to the next meeting. It is the desire of the Wright County Board of Supervisors to obtain input from as many community members as possible.

Guiding Principles

The Wright County MH/DD/TCM Advisory Board has a mission statement that provides direction to it's activities. That mission statement is as follows: Wright County's disability support fund has the purpose and most noble goal of assisting individuals achieve lives of high purpose, deeply embedded in their communities, engaged in meaningful relationships, and pursuing both economic and spiritual goals.
