The Wright County Sheriff's Office recently purchased a bullet proof and stab
resistant vest for their K-9 officer Lexie. "We would like to thank everyone for
their generous support or our recent fund drive," said Sheriff Paul Schultz.
"This vest will allow Lexie the capability to be fully protected from gunshots
or knives. It will enable Lexie, and her handler Jeremy Hogrefe (pictured) to
perform special duties with added confidence." "This was kicked off during last
year's community forum on meth," said Hogrefe "It really started picking up
steam with several businesses and individuals becoming involved. We really
appreciate your help and interest." The Wright County Sheriff's Office K-9
program is an on-going project and your continued support is appreciated.
