The Regional Entrepreneurship Project (REP)
REP focuses on enhancing the support system for entrepreneurship within Wright and Hamilton Counties. The region was selected by the University of Northern Iowa's Business and Community Services (UNI BCS) to participate in the REP as part of the U.S. Economic Development Administration's UNI-EDA University Center award.
Since launched in 2013, the REP has undertaken applied research, stakeholder education and strategic planning to foster entrepreneurship in the region. The REP is now focused on the implementation of the strategic plan.
The plan development and implementation involves a wide array of area stakeholder and service providers including, but not limited to, Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Centers, Educational Institutions, Banks/Lenders, Government Officials and, most importantly, area entrepreneurs.
The Wright Hamilton County Entrepreneurial Network (WHEN) serves as the lead organization and point contact with the UNI-EDA University Center.
